Ben Mosier is described by his friends as a professional youth hockey coach. Ben is the father of 4 boys, William 13, Ethan 10, Caleb 8 and Levi 5. Ben has committed thousands of hours to not only coaching his boys but hundreds of kids in our association over the years. Ben is now facing a tough battel with cancer. He was recently diagnosed with Sino Nasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma, a rare and fast-growing cancer in his Sinus cavity. He has been working with a team at Mayo on his treatments but no question Ben and his family will be faced with significate bills for his treatment.

As previously mentioned, Ben is the father of 4, his wife Ana just returned this year back to her teaching career since the boys were all old enough to be in school. Ana holds the Medical Insurance through Bloomington Public Schools and there is no way she will be able to stop working now to help in driving to the treatments etc.

Ben’s life revolves around hockey, from coaching the youngest 4 year old’s to the elite teams he brings a presence with him that he matches to the group it really is amazing. This is his first year not playing Men’s league as he is too involved coaching his boys and the association kids, but had played for the past 20 years every Wednesday night. Ben played college hockey at the University of WI Stout. You can find out more about Ben’s fight here
