A day of beer and hockey! That’s a combo that is normally hard to beat! However, a brutal performance by the depleted home team made last night one to be forgotten! The afternoon got off to a great start with a private tour of “AC Golden Brewing Company” hosted by the company president and ending in Pete Coors’ private bar! Then off to Ball Arena where the pregame included running into three DN recipients before the puck drop! The excitement in the arena was definitely dampened by the untimely Big Val news and it’s hard to argue with Coach Bednar’s honest assessment of, “that was worst game we’ve played all year”.
That’s sports though, and right now things look pretty bleak. But we’ve certainly bore witness to the unlikely more times than not and this squad is one that does seem to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat on a fairly consistent basis. So, let’s not quite count Bedsey’s boys out just yet! Let’s go Avs!
