Kickin’ off St Louis right! First stop was the Blues Alumni locker room with Jonny O! Special thanks for Alum President Bruce Affleck and Jamie Rivers for the tour and hospitality. From there it was delicious St Louis pulled pork sandwich at historic local pub followed by full day riding shotgun with a terrific young man that doesn’t let anything stand in his way!
And tonight Jonny and I will be teaming up to broadcast our first hockey game together! Check us out live at 6:00 pm (MST).
Kinda running on fumes but making every moment count! Up at the crack dawn to assist Jared and Matt in kicking off another successful “Jonny O 3 v 3” tournament. Beyond incredible to see our reach so strong in the Midwest as I shared the ice with an upcoming sled hockey prodigy, skated with members of our military, spent time with inspirational blind players, helped aid yet another family in need, and witnessed the hockey community once again doing great things!
Hockey is for everyone, and apparently so is “droppin’ the mits”! We ended last night’s Jonny O 3v3 with some fireworks as our dear friends at the Dented Pucks (blind hockey) took exception to a questionable hit and ended up in a near line brawl! Not condoning violence, but still pretty proud of my buddy Adam “Mike Tyson” Young for sticking up for his boys by pulling off a really nice takedown! Adam has lived his entire life legally blind, but doesn’t let that stop him from being a true hockey player! Love my hockey brothers and sisters!
